👁 The Old Ones
Long before the known dimensions, before the rise and fall of empires across the multiverse, there were the Old Ones — primordial beings said to have created the fabric of the Multiverse itself. Nothing concrete is known about them; not their shape, purpose, nor fate. The only surviving references to their existence are scattered across ancient Vetirent Archives — cryptic symbols and tales etched into forgotten ruins, left behind by those who tried to understand them.
Today, the Old Ones remain the deepest mystery in Reality of Madness. Their influence lingers like a shadow over the multiverse, hinting at powers and truths far beyond comprehension — and perhaps, still active.

The Vetirent
The Vetirents were the most advanced civilization in the known multiverse. It is crucial to remember that “known” refers only to what they explored and documented — meaning we cannot confirm whether even greater forces existed beyond their reach.
As the only race capable of cataloguing thousands of dimensions, building interdimensional technology, and developing Villintirius (the multiverse’s eye and dimensional door), they became the guardians of multiversal balance. Their archives tell of 9,685 unique dimensions known to them. Yet all of this knowledge could not prevent what was to come.
The Great Release
The Great Release was the cataclysmic chain of events that shattered the known multiverse and led to the extinction of the Vetirents. Dimensional portals destabilized, timelines collapsed into one another, and chaos infected every reality.
At the center of it all was Villintirius, the heart of Vetirent technology — once a secure and controlled dimensional gate, now corrupted. What was once the eye of order became the mouth of madness.
🌀 Before: A stable gate to all known dimensions. 🔥 After: A broken eye that cracked open the very walls of reality.

⚠️ The Fall of the Multiverse
With the Vetirents gone, no one was left to restore the system. Villintirius' fail-safe mechanisms crumbled. Entire dimensions began invading one another. Chaos reigned.
The multiverse is now on the brink of total collapse — fractured, lawless, and without its ancient protectors.
Everything has changed. Nothing is certain. And the Madness has only begun.
